Dominant blackberries, juicy figs and plums, with plenty of black pepper and a hint of cassis. A medium-weight wine with evident tannins that will continue to surprise and delight.
From the winemaker
“The benchlands framing Dry Creek Valley are hallowed ground for Zinfandel purists, and none more so than the small blocks which serve as the framework for our limited release Zinfandel showcasing the Everett Ridge vineyard. Black fruits dominate in this vintage, with dominant blackberries, juicy figs and plums, with plenty of black pepper and a hint of cassis. Oak spice gives way to a medium-weight wine with evident tannins and the promise that it will continue to gain in complexity through 2020. This is no time to be shy, break out the grilled roasts and barbecue, or in a nod to tradition, pair with robust pastas with a Puttanesca or Bolognese sauce.”
