Meet the farmers of Mendocino County, where we source grapes for Artezin Wine…
At Rovera Ranch in Mendocino County, Eddie Graziano nurtures his Charbono and Zinfandel vines, which the Graziano family first planted in 1918. During Prohibition, Eddie’s grandfather, Vincenzo, sold his grapes to bootleggers on the East Coast. Today, Eddie carries on the family’s grape-growing business, and he takes pride in being one of the largest Charbono growers in Mendocino County.
Eddie learned everything he knows about farming Zinfandel and Charbono grapes from his grandfather, and Eddie has been selling his certified organic grapes to Randle Johnson since 2002. The two have established a great relationship over their many years of working together, and Randle knows he can depend on Eddie to provide a quality product for him to craft Artezin’s flagship wine—Artezin Mendocino County Zinfandel.
When Eddie isn’t tending to his vineyards, he’s usually found under the hood of his 1957 Chevy Bel Air two-door hardtop convertible. Eddie loves showing off his prized Chevy, which reminds him of some of the best years of his youth, when he attended Ukiah High School and met his wife Frankie.
